Alison Lohman's Carrot and Star Anise Soup
Celebs' Favorite Holiday Dishes

The multi-talented actor Crispin
Glover,
best known for playing George McFly in Robert
Zemeckis’ Back
to the Future,
plays Grendel, the unforgettably tortured creature
in Zemeckis’ new
3D action-adventure Beowulf. Glover co-directed It
is Fine. Everything is Fine!, a
haunting independent film which was a selection at
the Sundance Film Festival and opens this week in limited
release.
Another offbeat choice is Glover’s favorite holiday dish, which is “delicious, healthy and simple to make.” He prefers the Kobasha pumpkin, he says, as “it’s not just a regular pumpkin.” Glover points out: “It has a dark green outer peel, which is very tough, hiding a bright orange inner flesh. When cooked, the Kobasha is sweeter than most pumpkins, and once you start eating this soup, you’ll want more and more of it!” Check it out and see if you agree!
